Issuance of the PEFC logo
The Forest Certification Council can issue in Finland the PEFC logo use rights to private persons, companies, organizations or other legal bodies. The right to use the PEFC logo is applied with a written application.
The PEFC Logo's right of use can be obtained by the following user groups:
- individual forest owner as holder of a forest certificate or as a participant to group certification
- forest industry and wood product trading companies as holders of chain of custody certificates (for example sawmills, pulp and paper industries, further procecessors, wood traders, forest service companies and wood distrubution and sales organisations)
- other organisations and bodies that are willing to promote and advertise the PEFC scheme (e.g., various interest organizations, trade unions, educational institutions)
Yearly notification of the use of PEFC logo:
PEFC logo can be used:
-
on-products
- on informative labels, items and packages
- on the products (unpackaged products where the logo is stamped onto the goods)
- on the documents of certified products (freight warrants, packaging lists, invoices etc.)
- and off-products
- in brochures of PEFC, company or products.
The right of use of PEFC logo for products and communication materials can be issued upon application to holders of a forest certificate, forest owners participating in group certification and holders of a chain of custody certificate.
